BUILDING OUR FIELD OF DREAMS If we build it they will come they will find us .You invest years planning and strategizing. Technically and intellectually you execute tasks way above your pay grade You are not earning and the workload is enormous . You open a 10000 oysters extracting just a few pearls ,,, eventually you build a better mousetrap Then you launch You realize you have been duped hard work and perseverance do not lead to success Determination. brilliance, timing, a great product, a great idea mean very little Taken in by a Myth making industry subject to selection bias . We built it but nobody came Everybody is to.. busy watching cat videos FAIL BETTER ..... Fast forward many many years This time is different We turn to Visionary Early Adopters right away but we are not going to do what they want . Their input is just one metric . We are committed to doing everything wrong , making new mistakes We don’t spend years perfecting the product . We build a mvp [ minimum viable product ] by repurposing existing IP . We PIVOT towards Health & Training , it still takes 6 months , parts of our embryonic product are terrible [youtube -:)] . We ship before it’s ready . We are going to ask for donations and charge . Worst of all we plan on iterating constantly and running disruptive experiments . Traditional thinking says this approach should not work but it does .... Early adopters gain early access to what really matters for them , ideas that ... CHANGE OUTCOMES ... before everybody else . We gain valuable insights into how to execute better and the opportunity to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps .
